Smudge, our boy, was our first Westie. We bought him from a breeder in Yass. He was 1 of 6. Smudge’s lineage comes from British and New Zealand. He will be 8 this year.
Our girl - Millie Moo, is 2. She comes from a breeder on the NSW north coast. Millie’s lineage is from Australian lines. The pups of Smudge and Millie Moo will be pure-bred, pedigree West Highland Terriers.
Westies are a small breed. Whilst they are members of the Terrier family, they are not typical naughty terriers – they tend to be known more for their stubbornness. Average life span for Westies is 12 – 14 years.
Westies are playful, loyal and intelligent and can be trained well from an early age. They make excellent family dogs and don’t need much space to run around. They make excellent companions
Westies have a unique double coat – harsher outer coat with a softer, sometimes curly undercoat.They rarely shed and can be easily maintained in their grooming.
In terms of general health, Westies have no genetic or breed-related health concerns. They are generally quite hearty. Being white dogs, they can have some issues with sun or skin ailments but these are rare.
The pups will be available to their new homes when they are 8 weeks old. They will be vet checked, micro chipped and wormed.
They will come with their own toy (which they will have from birth). At your discretion, the pup can be provided with certificates of pedigree.
The cost of a pup will be $2500 without papers or $2700 with papers.
